I'm in the process of creating a new blog that is better tailored to landing a job. It will be complete with a section for weekly news, project updates, and featured designers. I should have it up and ready to go by next week, so hang in there friends!

For the last 3 months I have been fortunate enough to be working with two lovely ladies, Lindsey Baker and Raine Nimmer, on promotional work for the Pardon Fashion Show. Pardon is a unique fashion show set forth to shine a spotlight on the fashion community here in Menomonie Wisconsin and surrounding area; and boy does it deserve the attention. It gives the audience an up close and personal view of the garments and breaks the hierarchy between model and fashion enthusiast.

PARDON: at the Raw Deal 603 South Broadway, Menomonie, WI 54751, January 30th @ 7:00pm

Anyways, I had fun printing the posters with my helpful friends on Monday.
Thanks Sam Tapia, Staci Paul, Jeremy Nelson, and most of all Lindsey Baker.

I wanted to share this logo that I came across on the NZ streets a while ago, and thanks to my friend Navi, I am able to now (she snapped the picture with her mobile phone while we were walking to the BK Lounge to get a crown for my buddy's birthday, but that is a story for another day).

There are a lot of good plumbers out there but by looks of the logo, these guys really know how to clean out your pipes! ;)

Feel free to share any other witty innuendos of your own OR if you know of other suggestive logos, please share a link!

I planned a snowboard getaway trip  for both my significant other and I to the Porcupine Mountains. This was my xmas gift to Staci. Not only will we be able to snowboard up there, the "Porkies" is known for its bounty of waterfalls and wildlife. We will take advantage of this by exploring what the area has to offer. Staci is an avid photographer, so you can bet she will be snapping photos the whole time. With her skills, I'll have some quality pics to show you folks when we return.

The card I gave Staci was actually a custom designed lift ticket with all the trip's info.

Although it is winter I was still able to make it out to the disc golf course. WHY? cuz I'm living it up in the wonderful weather of Florida. Cliff Stephens Park is 1 of 3 18 hole courses in Clearwater Florida. I highly recomend this course to any avid player. The course provides many technical shots with the gator filled water hazards. If you like to give the disc your all, Cliff Stephens has plenty of par 4s and 5s to actualize the full range of your throw. The course even features a par 7 on hole 18.

I threw this in 4 strokes. I almost made it in three but I missed my 40 ft putt :(
My second stroke on hole 18
I parked this nicely on hole 10. It was a 333 foot drive over water.
Check out that form!
Now you know a little about one of my other life passions.

This morning my dad woke me up by calling me at 8:00 in the morning (that's 7:00 am in MN) and you're not suppose to wake up any earlier than 10 during winter break! I've been living by this code since elementary school. Anyways, my dad calls to wake me up and my he was sitting 5 feet away in a chair laughing. I guess he thinks he's pretty funny. If his humor is any indication of mine, I wont be surprised if I end up alone all my life....

After my dad woke me up we went on a six mile run; the longest distance yet together. It didn't feel like six miles, we just based our run by time. It wasn't until we mapped our run with www.mapmyrun.com that we realized how far we actually ran. We ran for an hour.

Caught a flight with the fam to Florida today to hang out with my Gram Gram for a week. On my way out there I sat by Jordan James, a photographer originating from Coon Rapids Minnesota. He now lives in the Uptown area, but not for long by the way he talks about it. He does a lot of helpful hand freelance work. So if you're ever in need, Jordan James would be a good man to contact. I didn't get to find out much about him (I guess my shy side got the best of me today) but he left me an online portfolio to speak on his behalf.

CHECK IT!

But it's ok now, with ALL files in tact! I was without my computer for a couple of days and something good came of it... I started sketching for the sake of sketching. Here a little ditty that I did.

My technology-less state of creativeness didn't last very long. After I drew this sketch I scanned it in and started to play with it in Illustrator.

Ayesha has a big funky-fresh personality and she puts all of it into her work. It is a shame that you folks aren't able to meet her first hand but you can live your friendship vicariously through her blog...

Ok, I'll probably do a series of these...

New Zealand is a place fully of quirks that separate it's traditions from ours -for example: they drive cars over here but on the other side of the road. So, what I'm going to do is post a picture and you will try to guess the New Zealand way of saying it.  I will later post the answer for you.  And the person with the craziest/creative/zai   ny
